Now that the window is done, those of you that filed, and receive grants need to figure out who's going to put it together for you. Unless you know what you're doing, you're probably going to need some outside help. One place to look is at the local chapter of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE). Most large metros have a chapter. If not, call around and ask other stations who they use for engineering and give the person a call. Be aware though that most radio engineers are already busy, and stretched to the max due to the consolidation that has happened over the last 15 years in the radio industry. In other words, too few engineers taking care of too many stations.

We will also provide a consultancy service, which includes (but is not limited to):

Telephone and/or email communications with respect to buying equipment, studio locations, signal distrubtion, etc.

On site help with hooking up equipment, automation, checking the antenna for proper operation, transmitter installation, etc.

Subject to availability, we can go to your location and help you get up and running. This is done on a time-available basis, and runs $720.00 per day, plus expenses. Materials are not included. We do not climb towers or install antennas on towers (that we leave to the professional tower climbers). In this situation, we would act as the broadcast version of a general contractor.
